Default Wobble in the head....

Anyone else have trouble getting their X5 FES FBL head tightened down true? I tried several times last night and I still have a bit of run out in the head itself.

I don't think it is bent, if I loosen the jesus bolt, I can move the head around on the shaft... Just wondering if this is my vibs issue.

Did you have a blade strike/impact?

If yes, get a new yoke/rotor head

If not, you really have to tighten the screw down tight
New screws come with the main shafts

Nope brand new kit, no blade strikes. I tightened the crap out of it. I will try it tonight.

The head block should be a relatively snug fit before you even tighten it down. I would not trust it if you think it might shift on the main shaft under load.. This could definitely be the source of your wobble when you load the head. Also, the Beast doesnt care for random pitch changes that come from a sloppy head component like this.
Good luck!

do you have the yoke with a horizontal slit? from one flat side to the other
kind of offset, one side will be thicker.
or a angle slit? from one corner to the other

i think steven is right about it being snug, if its new and it does not tighten

i was just saying to tighten it, because i had a similar problem and i found a post on here, more than 1 person replied , and suggested to tighten pretty snug

have you taken your head apart? mine came missing one of the washers that goes between the blade grip and the damper. this would cause a wobble....also, if your dampers are not seated correctly.
