My fury extreme had the mounts left out of it by accident. The person I talked to at ma seemed to think they were pretty important. I can't see how they would be so important to have on that kit, yet not so with this one. It makes no sense other than they are trying to shave a few bucks off the price of the kit.

Default servo support

Part numbers for the servo supports are #115-87-Futaba, #115-88-JR, they are not in the kit, but they are recommended in the operating instructions. They will be installed on mine.

Yeah, I think they are a good idea also. Mine will have them.

I need to order blades for my Spectra G. Does it come with 4 or 5mm blade bolts? I'm assuming the grips are 14mm... yes?

5mm Blade Bolts. 14mm roots. John says run 700 or 710mm mains.

you'll want to run 710mm blades with the extreme head and 700's with the tempest head.

check the Spectra G operators guide, which you can get a copy of on the miniature aircraft website. It includes all the additional information you need to get the kit going

The servo support bridges are an option. I have been flying an Extreme that does not have the servo support bridges for over a year. No problems. I know a couple of the Team pilots that fly without the servo support bridges and they have no problems.
It is one of those items that if it makes you feel better, then I would suggest to get them. The heli will fly fine without them also.

personally, I highly recommend them, primarily for the reason that if for some reason the bolts that hold the servos on were to vibrate out, the servo will remain in place and functional with the bridge on.

Without the bridge, if the servo bolts come loose, the servo can relocate itself unfavorably.

Thank you Conrad. It is finished now. We went to the post office today to test fly and we did our range checks with the mains off and the heli running and not running and it checked extremely good. Unfortunatley conditions were not good enough for us to fly. I had just finished putting the mains on, and it got bad enough for us to have to pack up. The spectra is a fabulous machine and we are very excited to get another one to test TRM motors.

Thank you VERY much John for building it and Raymond Thompson at www.RaysHeliResource.com for getting me the kit so FFAASSTT!!! :glasses2: Ray KICKS ASS!!

There is nothing worse than having a nice new machine and crappy weather that will not let you fly it.<G>

We'll be flying today at 1:30ish when Will get's back from Charlotte at BSRCC field. My fuel jug is still in his truck. The TRM G-26 proto is now on the Amsoil and off of the break-in mixture!

Vid's, pics soon to follow!

Later,

I got one of my latest RC mags with this kit reviewed. I would love to model this thing into Realflight. If someone could post really good 3 views and various other angles to capture the heli in all it's glory, I'll model it and post it to my website and the KE swap page.
