Default Heli electrical system for dummies, great video
Everybody here talks over my head with their extensive knowledge, so I'm trying to study some basics.

Found this great video on youtube:
RC Electric Power Systems Simply Explained (ESC, BEC, LIPO, Brushless etc) (15 min 36 sec)


It answered tons of questions that I've always had:
what is a "BEC"?
what do the numbers on the motor mean?
how do I know which battery goes with which ESC with which motor?

Holy cow. Thanks for posting this. I think I've 'vaguely' understood some of this stuff from my RC cars. I'm not yet interested in building anything but I do like to know the basics on how it works

guy does an excellent job of explaining simply without engineering gobbledygook. quick guide on sizing systems as well which everyone should know and understand.
