Helical Pinion for 3.5mm Motor Shaft

Hi Guys,

I'm running a v1 450x that just stripped out it's main gear. Given that my 450x is significantly louder than my Protos 500 I was thinking of giving a helical main gear a shot. I've got an HK NTM motor with a 3.5mm shaft on it. I know a stock helical pinion won't fit on a 3.5mm shaft. I am looking at getting something like this, but I am not sure that the pitch of the teeth on the pinion will match the v2 helical main gear:

EDIT: the above pinion is intended for a Trex 450

Has anyone had any experience with this? I just want to ensure that the mesh of any pinion I use has a decent gear mesh with the Blade main gear.

According to the link you provided, that Align pinion is MOD 0.6 so it will not mesh well with the MOD 0.5 v2 slant main gear. I believe Lynx makes a helical MOD 0.5 pinion with a 3.5 mm bore.
