Thank you very much, the mechanics and the tail are all part of the kit by Hirobo, I've put in an OS91RZ-H,
with a rear box type muffler (lots of power) Futaba S3050s on the head with 401 gyro and a S9254 on the tail, now looking for a nice set of black blades (680mm) the white woodies that come with the kit are a bit soft. the Pilots I'm getting from www.maffscav.de they are the right size and look the nuts! I've also put in the Align reg with on board glow etc...

Default Maff's CAV's Pilots came today

This was a box that I couldn't wait to arrive! Straight out of the box and straight into the Cobra.
Had to cut a lot of the cockpit seats out to make them fit and look right, even now I still need to drop the Gunner down just a bit more.
I have just a couple more things to finish off and that will be pretty much it, once the weather sorts itself out, I will get it back up into the air. More photos and maybe a better video to follow later.

Big thanks to Matthias of www.maffscav.de

Mattias' pilots are definitely the best I've seen for helis... I would like one for my JetRanger project, but I'm having a hard time justifying spending more on the pilot than I did for the fuselage!

Dr. Tim, I really like those built up fuselages. Im glad to see Approach bodies still being produced. Sad to have heard of the original owner had passed. In a sense we had a connection. I myself is a US Army aviation veteran was part of the first US Army Attack helicopter battalion to test and field the Apaches here in the states " Heavy Cav " .

My first attempt at a scale chopper. One of Darth's Bell 206 fuselages.....

Modeled after a German heli D-HASA, but that is a Long Ranger not a Jet Ranger. I just liked the paint scheme....

Nice NH90!

Here's an inflight shot of my Bell 222. It's a Darth fuse on a Trex 450 SE V2. I'll have shots of my new S76 hopefully this month.

Didn't want to stray to far from the size heli this thread is targeted to, but thought you may like to see the new flybarless CH-47 from Gaui (based on the Hurricane 200).

That looks pretty impressive! Being based on the 200, I'm guessing it's pretty small. What's the overall length?

Also, do you have a link?

The fuse is 19" long and it has plenty of power. The counter-rotating heads are driven by a single motor with two drive shafts. Everyone at IRCHA was surprised by the low AUW. This is one of the final prototypes and should be available by Christmas!
