Default Trex 500l Main Shaft problem

I am a novice and building my first align trex 500l dominator and get stuck. I am trying to put the main shaft inside the main rotor housing(rotor head?) and use the screw to attach them together, but the screw holes on the rotor head and the main shaft doesn't align together. The screw hole on the main shaft seems to be too far away from the shaft end (the bigger end) so that the it doesn't align with the rotor head screw hole.

Am I missing something, or did I get the wrong part?

Please help, thank you.

Are you sure you are inserting the correct end of the shaft. Try the other end.

The other end (smaller) could fit in with some space. But I look at the installation manual carefully, its picture clearly shows that it is the bigger end of the shaft to put into the rotor head.

He said the bigger end, so it is the right end. Does the shaft have any writing on it? How far is the hole from the end of the shaft?

The shaft says Align Trex 500...and the manual picture shows the bigger shaft end should go into the rotor head too.
I guess it is only a few mm longer, I cannot see the shaft screw hole through the rotor head screw hole.

They will not line up. I had the same problem. They included the wrong main shaft with alot of kits. You need the main shaft for thr 500 dfc.

The shaft print as Align 500 DFC though, could it be the wrong rotor head?
Should I contact align and asked for replacement?

thanks,

Yup, had the same problem myself, called up Rotorquest where I bought it and they gave me the right one free of charge.
