Default 2.5mm main frames

In the SAB site, 2.5mm main frames are available as parts, does this mean the newer kits will include them? As well as the new heavy duty pullies

only optional parts. Kits remain with original frame for weight reduction purpose.

What is the weight savings of .5mm of cf? If the 2mm has the advantage of weight savings, what is the advantage of 2.5mm? Strength? At what point do you make the determination to go one way or the other?

IMHO, it would make sense to mfg/stock less part#'s.

I don't think regular frames are 2.mm. More like 1.6mm

My opinion is the price is higher to manufacture the 2.5, that is why they won't come in the kits... The weight to me would not hinder performance in the slightest. They kit is already very well priced so they probably have to keep costs down as much as possible. I was kind of upset that I put a Goblin in my cart at HD, a week later get a 5% off coupon, then another week later I get one for 10% FOR THE GOBLIN! Then when I check out it says I can't use the coupon??? They should fix this because I really thought I was going to get a Goblin for 900!!!

I'm also VERY interested in the weight difference between 2.5mm and the stock frames.

I'm tempted to just stay with stock since they are so easy to replace and it's kind of a nice "crunch" zone.

Mine crumbled beautifully. No damage to mechanicals. Tailboom is fine. Canopy is ugly and going to stay that way, epoxied.
