assuming that the stubbs are the same as on the SE, no they shouldn't catch, if in doubt try it out... take the pulley out and the main blades off, then slowly wind it up, as long as you got correct belt tension they shouldn't interact... good luck

I have a 450XL with no pulley and a plastic case. When I first removed the pulley, I took the time to cut off the little stubs to make sure there was no chance of it rubbing. Now I just leave the stubs there and haven't had any problems with rubbing.

^^ hey thanks for that!
i do have the metal tail case but there's play in there so i've decided not to use it (was a cheap thing from hong kong thru ebay)
i've just been going thru the heli and have found a slight (tiny tiny) bend in my main shaft so have replaced it.

They're a gyroscopic stabilization device nicknamed the "Chinese Weight Mod." It's been proven to reduce the stress on your tail servo significantly. That adds performance because your servo can now act closer to its fullest potential....and longevity because you're not taxing the servo nearly as much. Do a couple of searches and it should be plastered everywhere.

Another vote for the pully pull. Solved my belt tracking problems on the SE 100%, knock on atmospheric gases...

It was not included with the SPORT model, FYI ...

... if your worried about that, don't you don't have it. Yours is the Sport model right? As for a picture I can't help you as most if not all of us that know have removed the thing out of hand.

Or just remove it !! Sorry bowmaaker, yup your suggestion for the Flanged Pulley has been suggested, discussed and beat to death three times over. Then paraded in the main forum discussed again and repeated another three times just in case anyone missed it. Repeated but yet again another three times, flogged again twice and beat with a BIG stick just to be SURE. Did I mention, did it forget to mention it was mentioned!?! YEAH using the Flanged Pulley as been suggested a just few of times over now and then some {LOL} PS: Welcome to teh Forums
