thanks for the confidence it flies much more stable with the fuselage just. just trade and rc car for a used blade 400 hoping to feel a little more comfortable to try new stuff that way if i crash it my feelings wont be 2 hurt dieing to try a roll or a flip been sim it alot with no problems just got to get up the nerve. and i believe that video was before i felt comfortable with idle up since then i use iu everyflight. and no it wasnt 2009 i think the camera date was not correct. thanks

This is the same trouble the gyro on the B400 had. It's just a crap gyro.
Save your troubles, and just get a good gyro. Spartan Quark, FutabaGY401 or Futaba GY520. Worth every penny.

I'd thought as much, my friend flys a T-Rex 450 clone with a Spartan Quark, and his tail is solid as a rock. We were trying to figure it out today and noticed that the tail servo moved in "jerky" movements, he suspected it was the servo. I haven't tested it yet, but it probably is the gyro, but that "jerky" servo movement is really odd. There's no obstruction in the tail as we disconnected the servo, and the tail moves smoothly. I'll probably invest in a Spartan Quark to save myself headaches in the long run.

All the practice with Phoenix helped. It did feel a bit sloppy. I must check the mode it was not a sharp as the 120sr which i have on high rate and the fast ball link setup on the head.
But least i took it home in one piece which is always a bonus

Hey rob just a tip for you your doing grate but i have afeeling that the sloppyness you are getting is do to you keeping the heli in the ground effect. Try incressing the hover to aound 3-4 feet dlying that close like you are is only making it harder... good luck and keep at it.

Not strictly the maiden flight video as it was about the forth pack on the maiden outing for the B450.

Just have to sort out the slight tail wag by altering the gain now. What a blast though!

Default 1st Blade 450 Video

1st video of the Blade 450 at the club field. I need to dial in the tail a little more but other than that she flies great! I have adjusted the gyro gain as much as I can so now I need to figure out what else I can do to make the tail feel more soild.

Really nice flying, truly shows what the heli is capable of in the hands of a good pilot.

Nice flight dude. I think your flying would improve allot with a better gyro(if your using stock) You shouldn't have to worry about the tail even in high winds.

lol i was happy it flew that good. i rebuilt it about 30 min before that flight and hoped it was good. gyro wasnt set in rate mode or anything. i need to do that now. i also think the castle gov screws up the tail because it did on my 500, the darn thing over shoots.
