Default New To the RC Helicopter World

I am new to the rc helicopter world. I have been amazed by the flight of helicopters from the first moment I saw one fly. I worked on them in the Marine Corps. I even went to School for my A&P liscense. I found out after graduating that the market, pay, and jobs in the aviation industry had plumited. I even went to a local airport and inquired about a helicopter pilot lisence. Nothing really happened there after I learned of the cost. So in pesuit of happiness, I found myself in model aviation. I started off with a two channel mini helicopter. It didnt take very long to become bored with that. I then moved to various 3 channel helicopters, still the same result. They were able to entertain me for a little while longer, but I knew I needed more. I built up the courage, and my savings and took them both to the hobby shop. I was looking for a 6 channel 3D ready to fly electric helicopter. Not sure how it happened but the salesman on duty that day let me walk out with an AXEcpv3. What a peice of crap. After six months of going nowhere with that peice of junk I decided to move forward. I purchased the TitanX50TT kit and the realflight G5.5 simulator. While building my heli I have been practicing on the simulator. Half way through the build thunder tiger released their flybarless head so I jumped on board. The X50 kit came with redline .53 and for now I left it in. Might see an OS .55 hyper in my future though. I went with EDGE 620mm and 95mm flybarless blades. I installed the Futaba CGY750 gyro and R6208SB reciever. I purchased the Futaba 8FG Super radio to pair with gyro. I installed 4 s9252 servos and for the tail the bls254. It is ready to fly, but I need a lot of help with the radio and gyro setup. If Anyone reads this and is familiar with the X50 and Futaba systems please do not hesitate to share any and all information you can. I have a club near me that I go to but they are all flying Align T-REX 700 with spectrum radio systems. They just scratch their head while looking at my helicopter. Thanks, looking forward to sharing sucess, or failure, in the future.
