Hi guys just thought id introduce myself

Im rux from London. Currently stuck at work, however my first bird has been delivered at home and is waiting for me.

I have gone for the HBFPV2 to learn my trade. can't wait to get started but, I'm going to take it slow and spend lots of time on the simulator.

I promise to try and keep my questions sensible.

Radd's School of Rotary Flight (http://www.dream-models.com/eco/flying-index.html) helped a lot to me at the beginning. I didn't do it in 10 batteries but 4 or 5 tbh but still a good start for your heli future.

Ok so got home yesterday.

Set the bee up as per OD's video (thanks mate). Now the first part was tightening screws, well I had noticed the tail fin was poorly aligned when i open the box, and unfortunately the screws had already been over tightened and the hole stripped. So i thought for a brief second, SEND IT BACK. Then i realised, I had better get used to fixing this thing.

Well I had also better get used to making the best of a bad situation, as the training kit that was supplied was for the HBFPV1. Oh well zip ties it is.

I took her out for the maiden hover today after golf. It didn't go too bad, and i even managed a couple of 10 sec hovers. Im just not in control of the tail enough yet. More time in the sim needed I think.

I had to stop as its pretty windy in the UK today, and i lost her a couple of times and took some small nicks out of the leading edge of the blades (will this be a problem?)

Time to order some more batts and some spares.

you clearly have the right attude when it comes to helis.get used to fixing it cable ties and superglue+cotton will become your friend very soon,slight blade damage isnt something i would say its not a good thing but if it slight and they are still balenced using the wine glass trick you should be good to go.just remember you have what is sometimes called the heli tank(it tough and hard to break) but i would strongly recomend some spares and the fuse mod,also time your flights as over discharging a lipo is bad and can turn dangerious when charging one,please look though all the stickys.if your interested ive made a youtube video of charging lipo batterys(its not great but can answer a few questions) if required please just ask.i havnt flown a honey bee in a few years so just ask around on spares and number to keep instock.its not fun learning and having to wait a week or so to get a needed part so you can contuinue to fly..happy new year buddy and enjoy your bee

so i waited for the wind to calm today, had some lunch and now its raining so no go

I just re balanced by blades and checked tracking.


I then tested cyclic movements whilst holding the bird. Forward cyclic seems to produce some left too ?! and right if applying back cyclic. Similar when applying left/right, i get some forward backward tilt to the blades. Is this normal?
