Default How long do servos last ?

Hi,

I have 300 flights with my 5245MG. Very few crashes (i replaced the servo plastic box a couple of times).

They are working perfectly right now.

What is the life expectancy of the servo motor ?
Should I replace them (just in case) ?

Did you ever have a servo failure (that was not caused by a crash)? After how many flights ?

Your tail servo has already worked a 1000x times more than your cyclic servos...

I am right there with you. Right around 300 flights, 3 crashes and they are still going strong. If I don't see any signs of failure or getting weak, I will run them until they die.

Now that it is getting colder here, I will probably break down the head, put new grease in the thrust bearings and re-setup the head, make sure all the pitches are correct and level. Check bearings etc... If the servos aren't moving the same as when they were new, it should show up there.
