Default looking for a new balance charger

Hi,

Right now I use the stock align charger that came with my T-Rex 450 se v2 kit. It works fine, but it takes about 2 hours to charge a pack and there is no display at all, so I think it's time for a little update.

So I was wondering what would be the best option with the following requirements:

- I'd like to be able to charge 2x 3S 2200mAh batteries at the same time (i dont have any plan to go to any more cells later on since my next heli will be nitro. So I dont need a 4 or 6 cells charger)
- I'd like to be able to plug the charger directly in a 110V outlet at home.
- I'd also like a display to see the mAh put back and maybe a storage charge setting, but I think those a pretty standard on most chargers, or am I wrong?

Does such a charger exists? What are the models that do all this?

Thanks for your suggestions guys.

Default BC6

There are tons of chargers out there and almost as many threads discussing this topic.

My vote if for the BC6. Do a search for it and you'll find out all you've every wanted to know about Lipo chargers.

Good Luck

O yeah; it cost about $170, but if you look hard enough you can find some good deals.

tp-1010C except you have to have a 12 volt power supply to run it. It works great otherwise and you will be able to charge 2 3s or 2 4s packs at the same time. Also get the tp-210v balancer to use along with the charger.

After buying a cellpro 4s and being so impressed with it i bought the cellpro 10s with a/c power supply, this charger is great, two batts charge and balance out in about 40 mins, also you get a backlit display showing each cells state of charge and amount being added, top notch stuff IMHO. Hurri 550, t-rex 450, blade 400. newbi since x-mas.

The Bantam BC-6 meets all your requirements except for the 2 batteries at a time. We like many other chargers have a specialized board that allows you to have 2 3S or 3 2S packs connected in series, but the intention of these boards is that the batteries are discharged together. The 2 packs must be very close in voltage and of the same type, brand, ect...

We have our own support forum here on HF for the Bantam as well.

There are lots of chargers that will charge 2 3S packs at a time.

- KongPower 100W6
- FMA Cellpro 10S
- Hyperion Chargers
- TP-610C

I prefer the Cellpro 10S and Thunder Power chargers since they offer US based warranty and possible repair.

If you are only charging 3S batteries and will never think you will upgrade. My 2 cents, is to just get 2 Cellpro 4S 4AMP chargers. These little guys rock, and 2 would be cheaper than most 6s or higher chargers!
