trex 250 pro ESC
is the stock esc good enough for this heli? I have a feeling the bec is not up to task. what about the Talon 15 ?

The stock ESC can struggle with FBL systems, but the Talon 15 works great.
I'm flying a Talon 15 with a 16t pinion and up to 4500rpm for 3D flight, its had several hundred flights without so much as a hiccup :-)

Like myxiplx I too am running Talon 15, but a higher head speed of 4701.
If the stock ESC you are talking about is the blue one, it works just fine but if it’s the yellow I would advice you to change it. The governor on the Align is not very good, but V or flat curve on the blue ESC is fine.

I put a YEP in mine and its been flawless.

My stock (blue) esc failed on the 97th flight causing the first crash on this heli. Replaced it with a Talon15 with gov setup and I couldn't be happier.

My yellow esc failed (brown out) and i upgraded to Talon 15, works perfect!

I had tried CC25, Talon 15, YEP 18 and Talon25. They all worked great. CC25, Talon15 and Talon25 internal governor works greats.
