Default Flight logs, do you use them?

I was searching on apple apps and noticed 2 Rc flight log programs.

Do you log your flights/batteries?

I am probably at 30 or so flights on my 450x and maybe 50+ on the mcpx.

I check each 450x battery for residual voltage to make sure it is good for storage.

I guess some maintenance periodically is in order. Maybe oil the bearings, clean the main shaft.

What do you guys do?

i personally dont log my flights. but alot of guys make small marks on their batteries. from the way some people talk, they must keep a log of some type. i personally wouldnt wear anything out because im still crashing.
but i do oil all of my bearings each weekend before i fly. it maybe over kill but it cant hurt. i also oil my tail shaft every weekend before i fly.

Logged all my flights when I first started. Saved in an Excel spreadsheet and very easy to generate reports. Total cycles/flights as well as total hours by model or pack. It was kind of fun to look at the data over years time.

Even though the overhead of recording flights was not that great, I lost interest in logging and just wanted to go fly and not worry about it. After a couple seasons, I am now wondering how many cycles I have batch of packs, or how many flights I have on particular model.

I've restarted logging, going for the minimum data and trying to just keep it simple. I'm currently logging date/model/pack in OneNote on my phone. That syncs to my PC automatically. Onenote does not do math (that I'm aware of). But its easy enough to manually do the daily totals and running total. Or I can copy/paste into Excel for easier number crunching and reporting. We'll see how this turns out. So far its been quite bit easier to manage than my old method. Not as much data, but I need a system that I live with.

I use http://www.rcflightmanager.com. I like keeping track of all the different stats probably because I'm used to it maintaining fighters.

I don't log anything.
I do record a lot of data at my day job and RC is a hobby, just for fun. My normal maintenance and preflights catch worn parts and if something stops working correctly it gets replaced. The numbers don't matter to me.
I can not think of a single part on one of our helies that I would replace just because a log book said it was time. Full size aircraft is a different story.

I log my flights and batteries with rc log on my Android. It does get tedious but is nice to know what's going on and have a record.

I logged everything my second and third year flying. This year (4th) I'm not logging a single thing.

Initially I tracked everything then realized that activity was much like tracking test equipment, computers, software, furniture, tooling, fixtures, mate rial data sheets leases..ad nauseum..
I'm retired!
Flying is to be fun, so no more tracking, just checks for wear and safety. Bottom line, whatever makes you happy...details or lack thereof as a change of pace!

I log everything on my Android... it's quick and easy, and works very well for tracking batteries, flights, etc. The author really put a lot of thought into this application. It's the most heavily used app on my Android.

I mark each battery after I charge it. That's it for me.
