Default what size motor would give me longer run times?

i am looking for more run time out of my 550, i have the bigger of the gaui motors( i dont know what size i want to say 1400 or 1600, if that makes sense). i was thinking of trying to find the smaller one and try to run that one instead.

It's not just down to size, for long run times efficiency is important and to give you as much flexibility as possible on teh gearing you want a motor with a KV around about 900 - 1000kV. Ideal choices are the Z-Power (tonic-X) Z20A 980kV or the Scorpion 3026 1000kV - these are both efficient (the Z20A is very efficient) and will give you lots of alternatives on gearing - if you go for a 1400kV motor you will need to go with a 60T main gear and a 13T pinion - I don't think that you will get a 1600kV motor to work with a decent set up

Motor, gear train and flight packs all play apart in flight times and efficiency. And again as mentioned many times.....more packs = more flight time.
