Default Belt

I'm running a 572XL belt with my X5 boom....Are you going to run boom supports?
Dremel the shaft opening to clear the ret. ring?
What ESC? ( I run a 100a W/3a BEC)

Thanks for the info.
I thought i have a 572. Turns out i have 3 522's and 532 that came with a 550 tail assembly from china. I used to run this heli with 500mm blades so i guess i needed spare belts?

As far as the snap ring I'm looking at a different type of ring that will work.

I still have the CC 80 I originally used on this heli. Never had a problem with it but this motor and 516mm blades might be a different story. I have a YEP 120hv but its pretty large for this frame set. Haven't decided on a bec yet.

Default 516

I usually run the 500mm Gaui Wood blades ( had a few in my "Stock" ) also cause they are light too...when I want more "Floaty" 550 FG Pro 3D blades ( cant afford 550 CF blades) 80a will be fine !

Nice to see someone resurrecting an old Hurri.
I still have 2 425's, a medium boomed one built on a HeadHunter frame, and my original plastic framed 550. Also have a new- in- box HeadHunter frame that has been sitting here for several years that never got built. Too bad Gaui discontinued parts support for the old Hurri's. I have found that many of the X4 and X5 parts can be used though.

Still working on this heli when I have a spare few minutes. Mostly wiring which is almost complete. Dealing with some setup problems with the V(K)Bar.
After spending an evening getting no where with the FBL unit I decided to take a week or so off and just think about it.

Sounds good Mike. I'll get some information together and hope you can help.
At this point I get the TX connected, swash and rudder move with tx input. Vbar software connects to V(K)Bar but does not show TX movement in software.

Just work your way through the Set-up tabs in order and you'll be golden - it sounds like you probably haven't got the Receiver tab set properly.

Also check that you have your Transmitter set to 90 degrees / 1 servo / Normal / whichever it is on you Tx / Rx that gives you separate channels for ELE / AIL / PIT.

Mr Mel has done some absolutely excellent videos that will walk you through the set-up process

Just so you guys know, there is still an observer of this thread and of tree'd hurricanes here. Lol. I still got my hurricane in the hughes 500E fuselage, but it needs to get flown.

Haven't done a thing to this heli since I started setting up the KJoyBar.
One of these days I'll get it done.. but probably wont be until spring.
