I still have an extra set of three brand new in box corona 919mg. Since learning to be more careful with the plastic case during assembly, I'm hoping to try using them for cyclic again eventually.

OK ... so I've got the motor wires repaired and everything back together. When I power up the heli one of the servos is no longer centered - it's about 20 degrees off center. I suspect I stripped some plastic gears or at least broke a couple of teeth off a gear in order for this to happen.

So - time to replace the servos too. Looks like she will be grounded a bit longer.

What should I be looking for in terms of torque and speed for a micro servo for the 300X? I'm assuming I will want metal gear servos.

Thanks - they are the same price as the stock servos on HH right now.

I've used a ton of the old HS-55 servos in small electric planes and had pretty good luck with them.

Do the fit well in the 300X frame?

The hitec HS 5055mg servos are a perfect fit into the 300x frame. Mine needed spacers (small brass bushings) on the mounting screws of the aileron servos for lateral alignment, which was easy to do. I do recommend these servos.

Thanks! Do they come with servo arms that are about the right size - or can you re-use the stock servo arms? Do these require re-programming the AR7200x?

The settings for the hs-5055mg are: 200hz, 1520us. The 5055mg comes with horns that work well. Yes, you will need to do at least a few programming steps in the ar7200bx.

always do a re program on the 7200 when changing servos. I've had to reverse servos after changing them out. if you don't go through it completely, you might miss something and set yourself up for a crash..any machine has to be right mechanically or no go

Yes, I agree it would be best to do the entire 14 program steps (A through N). Plus it helps you to better understand your machine.

In the beginning I was intimidated by the prospect of doing the full setup.....but it's not difficult once you get started. There are some helpful suggestions in these 300x threads, once you get to step G.

By far the easiest video to learn if you have no experience with BeastX. I think there is about 7 videos in the series...

How are you coming on this? My NIB AR7200BX is still NIB because I've been putting off installing it and setting it up. Other projects to finish up before the outdoor flying season ends and indoor starts.
