Default velocity 50 n1 shakes

so my n1 has a bad case of the shakes. i've been through the standard parts and nothing is bent. its especially bad when spooling down. This is also contributing to a tail flick im getting i believe.
I read on here that softer dampers may help. where can i get these?

What headspeed are you running?

What engine and what are your needle settings?

Also are you running a gov?

Thanks for the reply!
Its an ungoverned OS 50, running slightly rich. I think I've found the issue with the tail flick, but not with the drastic shakes when spooling up or down. It doesnt shake as badly once it has enough headspeed for flight to be possible but it damn near shakes itself onto its side getting there or spooling down.

I swapped out the main gear as it had a rough spot but I havent been able to check if this solves all issues yet becuase my DS620 rudder servo died on the bench ( less than 15 flights )
SO I have to take care of that first.

Make sure that mechanically the heli is sound. If the bird was crashed prior then I would be inclined to say something needs to be replaced.

If this is a new bird then I would first start by taching the head, getting your curves set correct and then tuning the motor. I highly recommend getting a flybarless unit with an internal gov.

My velocity 50 had some nasty shakes at certain rpm's and it turned out to be my extremely rich tune, but nothing like what you described.

Had an issue with mine, turned out the blades were too tight, loosened them up a tad and all was good.

Default no shakes

I have two velos both v1. And they both shook until broke in just fly it and the problem will probably resolve it's self ....mine has been great and it still flys great even after being beaten like an unwanted step child. Hehe

Both my velo's have a little shaky spool up and down but nothing crazy. Torque tubes seem to become warped easily though, just remove them and check for trueness, this can attribute to a high frequency vibe. I also noticed a reduction in vibes when I put a set of Rail 606 blades on as well. No problems at 100%, just spool up.
