Default HBFP Replacement

Guys, is the 120 SR a good replacement for my HBFP's. I have many helis but want something to use indoors through the winter months. I have an MSR, but that seems too big for my lounge and gets lost in the hall i have to use?

Is this the way to go, i would appreciate the opinion of anybody who has experience of the HBFP.

I don't own a HBFP but I do own both a 120 and mSR. If the mSR is too big for your lounge a 120 is not the way to go. Personally, I think the 120 is too big for indoor flight.

The 120 would be perfect in there.

I agree the 120 would be perfect in that sports hall.

I agree, not the easiest to fly in a house because of it's size but if you have a sports hall that's a good place that the 120 would work well in.

I have a HBFPv2 which is pretty much modded with CP3 bits with a xtreme swash and FBPC. I also have the 120SR in the hanger together with my HK450GT Pro and almost completed testing DIY tricopter.

Agree that the 120SR is not a good house sized Heli...unless your living room is huge. Then again I have flown my 120SR indoors but my living and dining is long so lotsa space to hover around and not FF type flying. A micro heli would fit a home better cos it is way smaller. When I do fly the 120 indoors it's only hovering and slow forward movements around furniture and table hopping! BUT....when no one else is at home especially the kids. I do try to avoid flying anything at home when the family is in to avoid risks! Yeah...a sports hall is a perfect place for lotsa Heli's!!

But as per your question of a better replacement....since I have both of what you mentioned...the 120SR is a nice supportive heli to have. As you probably already know, the HBFP is one crazy Heli!! As they say...if you can fly the HBFP you can almost fly anything!! LOL!! What you have learnt on the HB will make flying the 120SR an easy transition! I wouldn't call the 120 a replacement in my hanger as they both fly differently but definately a nice heli to have in the hanger!! I still fly my HBFPv2 which is more for practice and stick training! The 120 when I feel like being free with a some lazy eights thrown in!

So replacement or not....they both work well with their differences for what they can offer. Hope that helps!!
