Looks great

What tail servo and gyro did you get? Did you strip any screw heads?

The 3500 doesn't fit the stock servo mount well. I hear you can make it work but a better solution is THIS. I switched to an S9257 because I had one. tailboom bought the new mount. I stripped about 3 hex heads and did same as you, thought I was goona take my time and build over a few weeks but did it in three days.

I missed that could i modify the mount so the servo fit the original mount.

WOW I am jealous. Nice build and nice heli! Please report on how it handles compared to the B400 and any other news and tips. I need to start a Trex500bible!

That same heli is 1 year out for me.. but I will get one mark my words..

I already got a few parts! A 401 and a S9527!

Here's my current philosophy

Trex 500 is my 99% bird
Trex 450 is my 97% bird
Blade 400 is my 95% bird

I'll only fly maneuvers I'm 99, 97, and 95% sure I won't crash in the process. I use the sim to get me up to 95% to try it on the Blade.

Hehe I decided a while ago I wanted a TREX 500 ESP, but I've ordered a blade first because I felt insane thinking about building a $1300 TREX 500 as my first helicopter, plus my lady would never have agreed to it anyhow

Please let us know how it flies!

Nice man. I have the 3400/3500 mount that I used when I tried that servo. I went back to the 9257, I just seemed to like it a bit more. 500's are great Heli's as I'm sure you know. Congrats on the build.
