Default TM1000 Antenna

I just installed a TM1000 on my 600L and I have a question about the system. Is it a transmit only, or does the system / antenna have any receive functionally as a satellite?

Also are there other tlm systems that are compatible with a Spektrum receiver?

Transmit only. It will not function as a satellite.

Don't know about other systems, as they all seem to require the TM1000 or TM1100 to communicate with the Spektrum transmitters.

Jlog and a few others work with the TM1000 in various ways.

Thanks.

Another thing I have not found an answer to is what are the A,B,R & L parameters in the flight log in my DX8 tx.

I know they are related to the frame drops but it would be nice to know exactly what each one is.

I've plotted them with the flight log reader software and I looked in the DX8 manual and the TM1000 manual but didn't see what they represent.

Page 8 of the manual

Quote:
Press the button to display the following information:

A - Antenna fades on the internal antenna
B – Not used
L – Antenna fades on the external antenna
R – Not used
F - Frame loss
H - Holds

Antenna fades—represents the loss of a bit of information on that specific antenna.

Typically it’s normal to have as many as 50 to 100 antenna fades during a flight. If any single antenna experiences over 500 fades in a single flight, the antenna should be repositioned in the aircraft to optimize the RF link.

Frame loss—represents simultaneous antenna fades on all attached receivers. If the RF link is performing optimally, frame losses per flight should be less than 20. A hold occurs when 45 consecutive frame losses occur. This takes about one second. If a hold occurs during a flight, it’s important to evaluate the system, moving the antennas to different locations and/or checking to be sure the transmitter and receivers are all working correctly.
Edit: This information will only be valid if the TM1000 is connected to a full Spektrum receiver where it can get frame data. If you just have it powered, without the receiver or directly connected to an FBL unit, you will not get the frame data and the ARLBFH data will not be functional.

Thanks, I need to find a copy of that manual. I have a TM1000 Telemetry Module Users Guide and that info is nowhere in there. My page 8 is about RPM and optional sensors sold separately.
