Default Better fitting canopy for 450 Sport V2?

Is there a better fitting canopy available for the Sport V2? I am using Gens Ace 2200's and I have to mount them vertically in order to fit the stock canopy on. Even then I feel like I have to force with all my might to get the holes to line up with the mounting pins. The stock canopy is much too narrow. When mounted I have to stretch it apart to keep the main gear from grinding against it.

I took a liitle material off where the canopy meets the skids with a dremel, much better fit

Still though I'd like to find a canopy that could house a little bigger battery. The gens ace 2200 is still real tight compared to the zippy 2200

I put a heavy rubberband around the battery and leads close to where they exit the battery. I found the leads sticking out the side of the battery -making it wider- was most of the problem.

To make a better fit, I install the metal canopy gromets. They require a bigger hole.
While enlarging the hole, I shift the hole back about 3/16 of an inch. Just keep the orig hole as part of the new hole while at the same time shifting it to the rear.

Here is a e-bay link http://www.ebay.com/itm/2x-CNC-Canop...item3f1a8ba018

Also try "450 canopy grommets" on e-bay. The link above is $3.50 with free shipping.
I really like these.

Same here and it solved my fitment issues. Still a little tight with my Hyperion 2200mah 3s 35C batteries. I'm going to be making the fitment issues ever worse now because I have to get some of the 45C Hyperion packs. I have the timing cranked way up on my 450MX using a Castle Phoenix 35 ESC governed at 3200rpm. I'm actually pulling the packs off at 130 degrees Fahrenheit after 4:30 and they are starting to puff .

I have also heard that people are drilling out the canopy mount holes and using the Trex 500 canopy mount grommets. I will need the extra clearance to fit the aforementioned 45C packs.

I just put a new hole on each side of the canopy about 1/4" behind the stock ones.

Red face Canopy for a TRex 450 Sport

Hi everyone,
I have a TRex 450 Sport and I want to get a new canopy for it since I don't like the shape at all.. I find the 450 Sport V2 canopy much more appealing but I don't know if it will fit the 450 Sport V1...
Could anyone tell me if the V2's canopy will fit my V1??
Thanks,
