Default DX7 and Exceed G2/Walkera 36 help needed

I need help programming my DX7 for an Exceed G2 (Walkera 36). I installed a Spektrum receiver in the G2 but the settings for my TREX do not work for this heli. The collective control is all whacky. The servos do not function the same as on the Align. 1 servo controls the height of the swashplate instead of all 3 working together. 1 servo controls the elevator, and the 3rd servo does both aileron and pitch.

Nice spread sheets to keep track of settings guys.

I would like to take it a few steps further:
-create a database that can store unlimited configs for any make/model
-read the settings directly from the SD card
-create and/or modify settings in a GUI similar to the spread sheet layouts (ultimately in a web interface) and be able to save them to the database and/or write the values directly to the SD card as .spd files that can be loaded and used on the DX7s.

It is a pretty lofty project so I would like to hear your feedback on it.

Would it be of value to the RC community?

Is there anyone else out there that has tried such a thing?

Anyone want to lend a hand?

First things first I've got to buy a DX7s...anyone interested in a used DX6i? ;)

Hi,

It is funny I saw this post because I have also done my own template for DX7 programming (aircraft & heli).

There are aircraft and heli programming templates, and one sample filled for each ( P-51 and T-Rex 550E V2 3GX): see many sheets on the excel file.
Attached Files
File Type: xls DX7ProgrammingTemplate.xls (52.5 KB, 400 views)

I am a programmer, I have been programming for 15 years... I can make that program you are asking for. with the following functions.

1. Read the files created from the DX7s (I own one)
2. Store the information in a database
3. Allow you to edit the configuration (OR create a new one)
4. Save the changes in the database
5. Create a file you can load in your transmitter.

Do you think this program will be used? Is it worth making?

I would need some file from other models to see the differences, so I can make files for other transmitters.
