Default 450 Pro DFC and vbar setup

Been a while since my last post, I'm looking for some help with switching from a 3GX to a mini vbar.

I've got the vbar installed but during vstabi setup I notice I'm getting a lot of throw from the swash. About 16 degrees collective pitch and 12 cyclic. I really have to move the sliders almost all the way to get into range. The lowest I can get on cyclic is 9 degrees.

This physical setup I have now worked good on the 3GX but doesn't seem to wanna play ball with the vbar. I test hovered it and it did alright, but I didn't really try fly it like I usually do.

How do I fix the geometry? Do I have to move one hole in on the servo arms or something? Or is there just a way to click something in the vstabi software without mechanically changing anything?

Thanks in advance for any tips I can get .

Awesome, thanks! I wanted to make sure it wasn't a mouse click before I started wrenching on it again.

Got it setup properly today. It drifts slightly to the right and back when its hands off. Might just have been a breeze.

Is there a way to change that in the software or a hidden dial on the vbar?

Did you level swash at mid, high and low position?
Have you watched Mr Mel videos?

yes he has a lot of videos haha. I think the preformance is good enough. I'll leave it be, it's already way better than the 3gx

Was at the field today. I noticed the tail block wasn't square. Shifted it back into place and it's much better.

This fbl is awesome, way better than the 3GX now the tail is solid. I even had the confidence to start practicing more piroflips

No worries, it's always these type of details ppl don't bother posting. It takes some of us more time to figure out.

I was done with my 450L till I tried a mini Vbar. Now it's a blast to rip around. The tail servo ball had to be put on the inner most hole to get the numbers in the vbar to be happy. Different mechanical setup from 3gx for sure but it's flying great.

Not sure. I'm more of a fly it and see kinda guy. I know I just left agility on med and set the other slider for a 450 size. On the tx page the gyro/aux/gear reads the tx value of 19.

Is this the FBL system you're using? I'm thinking of getting one for a new 450 build.

Yeah. That's a solid gyro, you just can't update the firmware though.

Thanks, Mike. I assume one can use the software for this FBL gyro here?
