Vx1e has replaced a 3GX on my 500EFL Pro and I can say its a great little unit at a good price with default 3D settings. Very Happy with results!!

I recently change My whiplash gasser over to a Vx1n. It felt very comfortable and stable right away. Like some others have said the tail stops are too harsh but once turn down all is good.

I was most surprised about was the extra power I now have. Previously was using a throttle jockey pro for gov but now using the the internal gov and all I can say is WOW.

Thanks
Brendan

About 50 flights on the Esprit since IRCHA. About 750 on the Vortex between this, the VX1 and VX1n.

I am just running one vx1e for now. I will be getting the larger vx1 for my Rush Evo in the future.

The DataPod works with all three Vortex FBL controllers. It is an extremely tough product. I've crashed the Warp at least 3 times with the DataPod attached, and even flew it multiple times last winter while frozen as you can see, and it has never failed.

I crashed the Gaui 2 times with it attached, and no failures. I like to leave it attached so I can check voltage, minimum volts during a flight, make minor tuning adjustments if I want to experiment, etc. And the Remote Adjust feature is invaluable for tuning your heli quickly, as you can adjust parameters "live" from your transmitter, while the heli is flying....no landing to make an adjustment.....then take off and see how it is, then land again.......repeat over and over.

My original DataPod, the first one in the USA, is still going strong. People who don't have the DataPod don't know what they're missing out on!!

And you can even use it on the Quark and DS760! This was just last month helping a new flyer setup his heli at the field with a Quark.

It's great to see Spartan in the game again. I haven't tried one yet but will be on my next nitro build. Any idea when the electric gov will be out?

Angelos has said the electric gov should be out this fall as a firmware update.

I have been a Spartan for about a month now and I am absolutely LOVING it! Picked up a VX1E when they were released for $149 and like it so much I got another VX1E and two VX1N's and a data pod. I like it so much more than the Ikon's I was flying, they were nice and I was relatively happy with them. I had an elevator bobble I could never get rid of with the Ikon even after over 100 tuning flights. It took me about 20 flights to get my first VX1E tuned to perfection on my Goblin 630C, and only 10 flights to get my VX1N tuned on my Goblin 700C. I am so pleased with how this unit does everything performance wise there isn't anything I would change. The e-governor will be a nice addition (thought flying with the esc gov isn't as bad as I thought it would be). I personally couldn't care less about having a "bail out", or "rescue" I'm past the point of being able to use one (isn't going to save me 1' off the deck, the heli would be in the ground before my finger could get to the button).

One thing I would like to see change is the ability to reset the number of power cycles in the studio software, I like to use it as a flight counter for maintenance intervals.

I think we got your opinion on this in your first post. If the thread needs to be moved I'm sure the moderation staff will take care of it!

Not if I'm seeing people's Avatars correctly.

I've got no issues with the equipment being discussed. It's the lame double standard that is nauseating.

IMO this is nothing more than marketing, initiated by the owner of Spartan products.

I am sure this is a useful thread for Spartan owners and it is nice to see they are happy, but this should be in their forum.
When Spirit came out it had a thread in the main forum, as soon as a forum was made for Spirit it was moved. Spartan has a forum and this should be in there, this area is for general chat that cannot be specifically placed in a forum.

An apple app would be even better but my understanding is getting apple to sign off on it is not a good cost to benefit ratio.

It's just like any other thread in the Main forum, or any forum for that matter. If I don't like the topic, I don't click to read it. Or if the topic caught my interest initially, then after reading the thread I found that it really doesn't interest me, I just ignore it from that point on.

If there was a Club Mikado for instance, I would never click on the thread as I have zero interest in what Mikado is doing. It's that simple for me anyway. If I don't enjoy the content of a thread, can't get what I want out of it, or can't contribute to it, then why visit it?

Back on topic.......I can't wait for the E-gov to come out. And since I have a decent smartphone now, I'll make use of the app as well I'm sure.

Me too Bob, can't wait for the gov either, then I can get rid of the ikon on my raptor and the conversion will be complete.
My last two just arrived today.
Couple of vids from the first weekend of good weather in ages, getting the vx1n and vx1es dialed in.

Can't wait for the HF fun fly next month either.
