opened the 3g box and where is it?

i recently built a 450 pro v2 with 3gx and just got the 550e 3g well i opened the box and every thing is in there except no software disc for the 3g is there supposed tp be one? or do i down load it from alighn?

The disc and cable are an extra cost. You can usually find them for around $25.00.

well thats junk lol, thank you... think i might just get a 3gx for it, and another ? now that i think about it do i need anything else besides the esc to run the electronics?(its the esc that came with the kit

The 550 3G is a nice flyer. Liked the 2.1 software way better

The 550 should have a "Voltage Regulator" that came with the kit. I'd use that over the ESC BEC. Also requires a 7.4 Lipo, usually included with the kit.

a 7.4 lipo? nope didnt come with the kit... wow now i'm pretty irritated with the lhs this kit must be an old old one. what is the 7.4 for and all i found in the electronics box is the esc/bec, so i need to run two batteries on this thing? i didnt see a finless build video on the 550e or did i just look over it?

My bad, I just looked up the kits and they do not come with the extra equipment. I'd go with a BEC Pro or the like. You can use the BEC in the ESC, but I would not.

FBL has higher voltage / amperage requirements. Use the internal bec at your own risk. Verry few use FBL controllers and the ESCs Bec

that is the reason i'm selling the 3g, all the cyclic servos get power on one 22 gauge wire, i'd have to say no, so i'm guessing the 7.4 v lipo is to drive the bec ect? sorry these might seem like stupid ? but i'm new to this hobbie and have only delt with 450 size heli's. And my trex 450 pro v2 is awesome way better than my kds.

That earlier post about a 2s lipo for a 550 was out of line. A 2s lipo just to run the bec is just dead weight for a 550 6s powered helli. You power the bec off the main battery lead.
There's nothing wrong with the 3G or the servos, in fact the align 600 series servos will run on a 2s lipo if you want on a nitro or a 12s 600E helli 2s powered bec.
For the 550 all you should do is get a CC bec Pro and crank up the volts to 6.0v or more, build it and fly it.

Not true... Well partially true... If you have anything other than a kontronik jive you need run an external bec, otherwise the I thermal bec does just fine with FBL. Lol

can i run the ice 50( ibelieve thats it ) i was looking into that and run it off just the 6s, it did seem weird to run a seperate batt

ICE 75 and still get the cc Bec Pro so if the esc doesn fail you still can auto it if needed.
