This canopy is almost 6 HV size, in order to fit this canopy, requires a simple mod. Just swap the canopy post with the gyro plate bolt as shown in the photo & your done. At the same time you have to mark position of the rubber grommet & drill new holes. If you were
to order this canopy, tell Fusuno not to pre drill any holes, I told them not too but it came drilled. Worse of all nothing lines up & it's really badly done. This canopy is very flexible,
what Im gonna do to prevent high flexing which might misbehave in flight, Im gonna add rubber canopy support thats from an Align 550. Aside from this I've used 6HV tail fin but has to cut down a little due to height as well as 6HV Struts & Skids which were shorten by 2 inches to make the whole proposion of the heli look right. Last thing on the list is to
add boom support . Haven't found the correct lenght , might have to end up with a diy option. For guys thinking of 8S or 12s conversion, this is the way to go. I'm keeping it
6s but running 3700mah packes which balances the heli out nicely.

Looks awesome - you could almost mistake it for a 6hv.

Thanks Guys, yep when I finish with it it will look like a 6HV.
The looks of the stock Atom stretch was what turned me off when
I flew my other stretch Atom. Just didn't look right in the air. As
mentioned with this new canopy, it opens up the possibility of
going 8s or 12s conversion

While I'm in a demandind mood how about a side by side with the 5 vs 5.5 canopy?

Yeah it looks like it might be BIG on a 500, but so is the 7HV. I just want extra visibility. I don't care if it doesn't look right. I'll have one of each. I may even stretch it but keep the 500 blades for cheaper crashes. Also gives me the versatility to run 500 or 550 at anytime by swapping the blades.

Received mine today!!! As already been discussed it has pre-drilled holes which are not very good located. Need some extra work to fit well.

The canopy you have is not the one shown in Fusono's site, it's blue ans not very pretty, I must say. Yours has cool colours.

Thanks!.

Fusuno works with custom designs if you want. This is my own design.

Hi Wiebe,

Did you stick the Compass name on the blade yourself ?

Yes. These are holographic stickers. They make the spinning blades look like a CD ROM disk in the sun.
