Default SK 720BE Gyro Mounting Techniques

Please list the mounting techniques that you are successfully using for the 720BE. Make sure to include the following:
  1. Heli Model
  2. Gyro Location on Model
  3. Tapes & Plates used
  4. Photo of installation (optional)

I think this will be very helpful for those of use that are new to the 720/720BE which, unlike the SK540, does not get a hard mount.

Thanks!

It really depends on the heli. On my Diabolo 800 I have it only with grey 3M tape and get vibes of 0.7 or lower. On my Furion 450 I had a sandwich of gel and whatnot plus strapped down.

I believe it has to be as firm as the heli will allow. starting with little and adding material as needed

I removed my SK540 from the Goblin 770 today and replaced it with the 720BE. I wanted to try several different mounting tapes to see how it affected the vibration results.

TEST 1 - Skookum Thick Black Mounting Tape ONLY

This provided the lowest vibrations.

TEST 2 - Zeal Tape cut into four 4mm squares and placed on corners of SK720

TEST 3 - Hard Mounting using thin 3M tape

Are the vibrations on Test 1 low enough for successful use of the Self Level features?

Tribe3, what vibe readings are you getting using the 3m tape?

With this heli I got maximum of 0.7. At first I used the supplied black foam but I was getting 0.0 and I thought it was a bug in the program or something !
