Keep in mind that the videos that show the radio interacting with the software, are universal as it relates to what you will see [in the software] while setting up the system/functions and how the software should respond when properly set up.

Thank you for your time to tape all those videos! I wish I had them when I first started with V113 HC3SX.

Thanks for the videos,Josh. The radio info sped up the setup on mine, although it isn't an 8FG.I know it took a lot of effort to put the vids together.

HC3sX with 8FG - Real Time Tuning:

How to assign a knob on the 8FG for tail gyro adjustment, and later, Real Time Tuning of the systems adjustable parameters.

(The RTT selection process in the software is applicable with other radios as well, and not just the 8FG)

Josh,
How do I read these files?
Through Futaba's SD Card utility?

Thanks

Yes. You will need to download them, then load them on your SD card via the Futaba File System Utility which is a free download.

I appreciate the effort you put into those videos. It made the set up process so much quicker and I have a greater understanding of the unit now.

It's amazing to me that most manufacturers of FBL control units put all this time and money into developing and marketing a product and supply with their brand new product with directions only accurately described as pathetic. Equally amazing is most don't realize that the extra money spent on good instructions would be recovered I'll bet x3 in increased sales once the word got out.
I sold my Skookum 720 because I got sick of 'E' communication where if I had a question they'd get back with me in a few days. That is BS,
I just ordered a HC-3GX and can't wait to get it. I sure hope the directions available are thorough . It'll be going in a T-Rex 500 ESP that in turn is going into a HeliArtist body. Doug

Last I heard, there weren't any directions for a HC-3GX.

J/K!

Without a good tech writer able to explain what the original manufacturer meant, it all gets lost in the translation.

+1 On the translation part, the instructions on the HC3SX aren't terrible but the German to English translation is lacking some.

Any help that you need while come pretty quickly on HF from the likes of F1Rocket, fastrunner, seasick78, and many others just ask. Watch the videos on fastrunner's web site and seasick78's videos on the HC3SX setup in the sticky on videos in the Helicommand threads. Use the presets from the previous individuals listed and you'll be up and running in no time and be extremely happy you came to HC.

Josh, thanks so much for putting the time to do these videos, I bought one in the past and got frustarted and sold it. After i watched your videos i went ahead and ordered a new one and ready to use it now as things make more sense to me. I never lost faith in the system but the instructions are poor and I think HC should pay more attention to these things if they want to boost their sales. Happy Holidays.
