Most of the latency is from the radio. The module (really, mostly the receiver) can have a very small effect. Spektrum has said that their modules will fall in between PPM and PCM (in the same radio!) in total latency.

Would be nice if they published end latency on a converted radio.... If thier RX is going to add some then how much?

I'm betting the RX doesn't add any latency to speak of. But hopefully Kenneth will weigh in with the real data.

Who cares as long as it's less than PCM? I don't know anyone that uses PPM with a PCM radio.

I did for years. Still do on my planks. It's not that I recommend it, I just have some PPM RX's lying around.

The latency of the 9c in pcm is higher than in ppm. I'm using my 12z in pcm 1024 because of the price of the 2048 receivers. You can almost get two 319 synth. receivers for the price of one 5014. I'd like to know if the latency of the 12z/14mz with the mz module is closer to ppm or pcm before I pre-order one. I think the latency of the 12/14 in pcm 2048 is only a few milliseconds slower than the DX7.

The above is a quote from the XPS site forum.

Now unless this company has another name, or they are sharing a booth at the show.
There is no listing for them on the list of exhibitors that was just posted in the last couple of days for the Weak Signals Trade Show
Only one that is close and may be them is E-Power RC.
But usually most vendors want the correct name of there company printed on the map of the exhibitors that are handed out to people visiting the show.

They are listed on page 5 on that link you gave, which is the next page after page 4. (The page numbers on the bottom only go to 4)

Andreas,
thanks for the correction. I thought I had looked throughly thru the list. See some exhibitors that are usually there missing, And see some new ones there that have not been before. Toledo is the grand daddy of hobby trade shows.

Default Futaba 12 & 14 modules

MarkD,

You wont see them until the end of this year at the earliest. Futaba have'nt even started them yet.
But when they do come, they will be worth the wait - full use of ALL channels.

Module for the 9 ch series should be available by late summer 2007

Couple of the Spektrum module and rx setups were being used at the Bham event. Also John Adams from Spektrum/Horizon was at the event. John had modules and rx's with him.
