Default Question, pl8 duo [SOLVED]

I have a new pl8 duo

And only one FMA USB dongle.

I can connect channel one, the left side of the pl8 duo to the PL8 duo PC software, the software, connects to the software

Move the dongle to the right side...

And Channel two will not connect, I get. "No data coming from PL8 duo

Is this normal, that is will channel two not function alone, does it require that channel one be connected to work?

Do I just need another USB dongle,
Or do I have a bad pl8 duo

Both sides of the charger are independent and can be connected separately to the PC software via the same FUIM adapter.

If only one side is working then you may have a faulty pin or other issues with that side. I would recommend contacting Revolectrix support (email: support@revolectrix.com or phone: 301-829-5533) so they can walk you through a quick diagnosis and determine whether it needs to be serviced.

Visually inspect the pin outs on the trouble side as I've seen that occasionally they are not well aligned inside the plastic housing and it can create difficulty in making a proper connection with the servo lead on the adapter.

Also, after moving the connector over to the second channel, try closing the software and restarting it. Just in case you haven't tried that already.

Thanks I will pull it from the carry case I have it in and check pins

That could be it, they way it is in the case it's hard to connect the dongle, it's quite near the rear of the case, So I wouldn't know, since I can't see, if it's actually connected correctly.

Yep, that was it,
Removed pl8 duo from case to get a good look

Because of the cramped space. I managed to get the connector under the pins, but only on channel two

Straightened the pins,

Plugged in a servo extension so I can disconnect the dongle without removing lead from pl8

All good now
