Default Finally free from the 3gx

I have been dealing with a backdrift issue since I purchased my trex 600EFLPRO a few years ago. Well no more! I hope . I just swapped the 3gx with an IKON unit! I can't wait to feel it on this bigger heli. It made my 450 a ton better so I hope it will do the same for my 600. Anyone else using the ikon for a 600 have any hints? Blades off test went great!

I had that backdrift issue on some of my 3GX setups too. In my case I fixed it by 'going cheap' and fitting one of those clone FBL controllers beginning with 'K'... I'm not sure if mention of the 'K word' is still taboo around here now we have new ownership?

Yea right... cause we can't mention K bar but YEP, Tarot and all the other piles of cloner companies have their spot. That is- do as I say, not as I do- kinda logic.

The IKON should be pretty awesome for sure. I'm particularly interested in its internal governor ability.

Apparently (according to one of the mods in a PM to me) the reason for the banning of the 'K-word' is that under previous site ownership Mikado threatened to pull their advertising if the site was found to be allowing promotion of Vbar clone products. The previous site owner couldn't afford for that to happen.

Times have changed and the new owner freely allows use of the K-word over on his other forums, RCGroups for instance. So logically the ban here should be lifted too, but of course it may be that no one has told the mods

Will posted about it, and Mikado threatened to do more than just pull their sponsorship, they were threatening legal action. New ownership or not, that's still a credible threat.

Well if that's the case.. they should start with Amazon. It's all over their site with 5 star reviews and the hefty price tag of 35 dollars.

Amazon is probably too big for them. Way to go Mikado, pick on the little guy.

Well the ikon is definitely the way to go. So smooth and zero backdrift. For the 1st time I can really fly this heli. I will be getting one for the 800 asap.
