Looks to fly nicely. It looked like nothing is preassembled which is a nice touch, should keep warranty claims down as long as it all fits together right. Everything else is up to the buyer to do right.
Your title is misleading though, I thought it was a build video by the wording you used.

I like it, parts supply is a pain with gaui sometimes.
The one ting I saw that looked like a pain is changing the front torque tube drive gear, looks like you'll have to pull the boom mount off, ala trex style.

Hell yeah it does! Mine has been flawless since I took it out of the box. Only thing I did was swap out the A gear for the metal one, I had a tendency to strip it in dumb thumb moments.
My 450x has been amazing, I freaking love that helicopter. I did end up upgrading the servos after stripping a couple of gears in a crash, but other than that it's all stock. I'll be waiting to see how the first kits go, but I'll most likely be getting the 550x combo. I've always thought I'd go to a 550 next. Really liking the look of the 550x, the colour scheme is awesome. Would make sense to me to stick with a company that hasn't done me wrong yet. |

Agreed, the 130 flew ok, C gears rounding out their D holes without crashes and servos dying was a bit of a pain though. Now the mCP promo vids vs. real world performance, that's another story.

Extreme productions are coming with all metal gears for the 130. That will be interesting to see. Does lynx have any plans to do the same?

These vids are all done by pro pilots. You can never take them as what the heli will actually do in your hands unless you consider yourself pro.
The MCPX like Mojappa said was over the top. I think it was a little different then the production bird. James was tossing that thing around the board room so tightly and fast with no TBO at all. Sure there was more going on there then just collective management. But you never know James is a pretty awsome flier. If you watch the vid where Justin Lee fly's it you can see that with the bigger battery he still has to fly around it's short comings. All his moves seem to be about making TBO work for him and the flips are far from super tight to work around the bog. But still a very impressive flight for a 9 year old pro. |

Mine flew good for about its first 10 flights till the A gear finally completely was destroyed, and its been down hill ever since and I have had to dump more time and money into this thing then I could have ever thought possible.
Kinda getting to at this point with the technology that FBL brings that "how" it actually flies isn't all that hard of a thing. Thing is how is the quality of the parts and the intelligence of good designs that is what means it will "stay" flying that way. Basically every thing Horizon brings has been horrible when it comes to longevity as at the birds core is nothing but cheap junk to max their profits that looks good but never lasts. Then you go through the phase of given "them" even more money to keep replacing their parts with theirs, then even more once the hope-up parts come out finally putting stuff on it that at least will keep it flying. Products are nothing but money pits. And even for this thing and for a $1,000.00, knowing what I know....just from looking at it I could pick it apart to death. Would have to be a fool to spend that kind of money for what they make. |

I like it! I was planning on building a trex 550 DFC w/ an AR7200BX this spring but I'm gonna hold off now and see how this thing turns out after release. Hopefully Ampdraw will have the combo kit priced somewhere in the low $800's. I really hope this one gets released on time. I really want a 550 before the next flying season gets here and this one looks like it has some serious potential.

Ofcourse it's gonna fly good in a PROMO vid. I'm not buying it. That's for sure. I bought my last blade heli a long while ago.
If i'm spending that kind of money, it's gonna be on another brand heli. Let's face it, blade doesn't have a real good track record in making reliable heli's. It's the only brand i've owned that made me want to pull my hair out at numerous points. I don't like the look of the heli too. It looks outdated allready, and it's not even out yet. But that's just my opinion... Sent from my iPad mini using Tapatalk HD
