So how do the Rail 556mm blades compare to the stock SAB 570mm blades? I assume flight times would be longer (at same head speed) with the shorter Rail 556 blades. How about other parameters like "pop", blade barks, auto-rotations, etc.?

A little off the original topic here but after opening the box on my new 570 i was a little disappointed to see that the blades had stickers/decals on them
My first non-Align heli and one of the main features(we all like nice looking blades i`m sure)is a bit of a let down.
Hope the rest of the kit lives up to the reputation?

Please, post a picture. Mine did not come with blade stickers. Maybe yours was an "open box" kit passed as brand new?

Ok i`ll explain exactly what has happened with the `stickers/decals` on the main blades that were in the 570 kit i ordered/received.

This kit shows the blades that were in my box;

http://www.modelhelicopters.co.uk/sa...ellow-kit.html

I DID NOT purchase the kit from here though,i just want to make that absolutely clear.

As i haven`t as yet got all the electrics needed for the build i didn`t open any packets and just looked at quality of parts in their bags.

Everything looked great until i came to the boom/blade box,my first reaction to the blades was a bit of a let down as i could tell the writing wasn`t printed on but were stickers instead I could actually feel the ridges of the stickers through the bag which was rather a disappointment to me!

Then i noticed that one of the stickers(the long white one that runs from blade tip to root nearly)was actually torn! Not massively torn by any means but def enough for me to instantly notice(as i said previously,i`m sure we are all keen on having nice blades).

So today i have been back to the shop were i bought the kit to ask for a replacement set of blades as i wasn`t 100% happy with the set i had?
No problem i was told,just a matter of getting another set out of a kit to give to me.

Not quite so straightforward though,after numerous kit/box openings all the blades were found to be more or less the same as the set i had brought back
All blades with stickers on and torn slightly too!!

An explanation i was given was that maybe it is because the blades/kits were all old stock?

So in the end i was given these blades as a replacement;

http://www.modelhelicopters.co.uk/sa...mm-x-50mm.html

These blades look absolutely flawless and do have the wording/design printed on,so in the end i am again happy with the kit.

Just hope i don`t have any more surprises of this kind when i come to building/flying the 570?

I did buy my 570 kit from a very reputable dealer who i have dealt with for years with no problems at all.I also realise that it is in no way this shop/dealers fault about the blades,they did everything possible to make sure i was happy

You wouldn't happen to have a picture of the blades that had stickers on them?

Never even thought about taking a photo of the blades/stickers,as i bought the kit from my local hobby store i knew there`d no problem in exchanging the blades.
I also just assumed all SAB blades had stickers on

I just took off the stock SAB 570/95 blades and installed a set of Rail 556/96 blades. Nice thing about the Rail 556 blades is that they do not need spacers for installation. I'll report back with my experience after I try them out tomorrow.
