Smile Fleet pics 2012

I’m so ready and eagerly waiting for the new season, as many others do, and have been working all winter to re-arrange the whole fleet, selling and buying stuff until I got the fleet and other equipment that suits me best. So why not post a few pics while I’m waiting to go to the club tomorrow, weather permitting. Went only once this year, just to test two new helis, but not much else. But that will change very soon.

So, the start of this new season made me take these pics:

From bottom to top (= from small to larger):

- My favorite backyard trainer, the Furion 450, also used a bit indoors and at the club sometimes. Stretched and running at 6S it’s a nasty little rocket, ultra sharp and precise, but she can also fly relaxed a real long time at lower headspeeds. The most universal heli in my fleet, she’s always on my shelf in front of my desk, ready for those quick flights whenever the smallest opportunity appears.

- The black-and-white terrifying shelf queen, a marriage between a Logo 400 and an Align fuselage (who would have thought that ... ) but the nightmare of all the birds in the neighborhood anyhow, lol. Anytime they see the green lasers coming up, they’re speeding away, out of the trees. Gonna try to participate at a few local airshows with here next summer.

- The 500SE club field trainer, running 600 mm blades for real light disc loading and a single 6S pack for quick convenience and lots of back-to-back training sessions. The workhorse, in other words, she’ll suffer, and will be the first to crash, but that has been calculated into the equation. If she doesn’t crash this year, I’m not trying hard enough, lol.

- The gracious queen, my beloved 600SE, she does it all in a very civilized way. Very smooth and lovely to fly, but still with plenty of power. The perfect flyer for those moments that you don't really feel like flying.

- The obvious speed devil. Or a 15 minute slow flyer if you wish, but that’s kind of a shame to use it only for that purpose.

All V-Barred, all paddles have left the house, besides those for the rubber canoe of my little boy…

Oh, and I would forgot that powerful wing Erwin made me, with plenty of LED strips build into it, under the protective foil, suitable for night flying and those really relaxed, brain-dead, half-drunk or suffering-a-hang-over moments:

Let the good times roll damned !

Great fleet you have there! I love your airwolf, so much so I'm thinking of trying to build one myself! The tdr is a beast too. Incredibly fast.

Thanks for sharing

Thx guys, I'm ready to leave for the field as we speak...

Made a new wooden support plate for the 700s, so they will be well secured in the car:

Charging station at the back, the smaller cases contain the TX and lipos, and the yellow toolbox. On top of those the wing.
A small foldable table under the 700s.

The 500se is barely noticable on the floor, lol, next to it is a foldable chair:

The TDR is extra strongly secured, with alu pipes that slide in some pipeholders. It makes for a nice firm grip above and around the skids. The wooden tailsupports can fold back when storing the plate in my garage, there's a hinge at the other side.
