Is Align going to be the clone of yesterday?

Just saw some new parts from Tarot and it seems they are heading in a new direction. At the moment it just seems to be a few parts they are offering, but I wonder if we will eventually see full kits of the Logo-Clone
(Haha Logo-Clone sounds like a product you would see on an infomercial).

But seriously I haven't seen an attempt at a full Logo copy, the closest I have seen is the KDS innova's which are Logo styled but are not clones.

There may be more than whats on the linked page on offer from Tarot, but I haven't seen these anywhere else.

I'm sure Mikado would be pretty unhappy about seeing a full clone being produced.

Yeah cause you can tell how good the quality is by the picture. Its looks like they are trying to make a lower cost parts supply not fully clone it, they even say for logo 600 on description

Interesting. I had a look around hobbyrover.com and only saw the logo frame upgrade. Not sure if this amounts to a knockoff or not, its a very similar design to the stock logo frame. At least it looks very similar from the cheap seats, I've never owned a logo.

I bought an upgraded blade 400 frame from cnchelicopter but I dont consider sonix parts to be clones, simply upgrades.

At what point does an aftermarket part become a clone? I think if there are enough design differences its an upgrade even though some aspects of the design appear similar to the original.

Personally I would like to see more 3rd party upgrades and bling for more brands of heli. I dont like the black anodizing and absolutely abhor that awful light blue anodizing I see on alot of heli parts.

Its tough to have a matching heli when your motor is purple (hacker), your speed controller is metallic green (castle) and some lipos come with hideous colored shrink wrap.

No wonder most of you hide your heli under a painted canopy. No offense.

I'm not saying they have cloned it, at the moment it just seems to be a few parts. But I wouldn't doubt for a second that a full kit is on it's way. How much more work is it to add the rest of the required parts to the catalog before they have a complete assembly? and it's not as if Tarot wouldn't do it. Cloning is kinda their thing.

I was just telling a guy at the field yesterday that I was really liking the Tarot parts and some of them that I have seen are better quality than Align. You never know Tarot may be the heli to own in the future.

If you noticed the marks top left of the alu you'd see they're probably using piss poor/blunt tools on what looks to be die-cast aluminium.

This is a blatant copy and direct clone of Mikado's own CF frameset.

Probably a test run on cloning that frame.. They're not going for a nice finish, just a proof that they can cut it, I guess?

Either way.. Mikado has a pretty strong track record of chasing down and stopping companies who clone their stuff. I don't really have any doubts that they'll do the same here.

Tarot quality is great, especially for the price. Some tarot parts are higher quality then Align even.

I agree with what most are saying.. I have a brand new tarot FBL, and the quality is better than the last align I built.. if they make a Logo, I'm on board... Logo are so grossly over priced it stupid to buy one.

I'm going to say no twice on this one. No to tarot for making a blatant knockoff and not coming up with their own design thats just similar to the original.

And no to Mikado. Come on, $352 for a frame upgrade?? A complete Avant E-aurora 90 kit is only $800.

Quality and design is what you pay for with logo and they are FAR from overpriced. Any logo kit is well worth the price and thats something you dont understand until you own one.
