Might be wrong, but first of all your heli is out of focus.

I have 3 Canon cameras.
My guess is the camera is set to guess at what the focus point should be. And the guess lands on something in the background because that is in focus.
You need to tell the camera that the focus point is the only and always the center one. Then the photographer should put the center focus point on the bird and press the shutter.
The bird should be in focus and the background out of focus.

Try to shoot between F8 and F11 (for best depth of field) and go at least 800 shutter speed so the blade do show movement.

Experiment and you will get the picture you want.

Been messing around with settings. Got the heli clear, but the blades are at a standstill. Looks like its hanging on an invisible wire in the field. Should I go up or down on shudder? Its a Canon Powershot SX50HS.

For capturing more motion you have to decrease shutter speed, so the frame is "scanned slower".

Your images are out of focus, not blurred... your shutter speed is ok, your focus point is incorrect.

I would turn camera off of auto focus. Focus manually and keep the heli is the same general location, or have her refocus if you move away or closer.
