Default Anyone Regret not buying 700

So I took my 600 pro home tonight and I left the kit in the car. I'm still thinking about the new 700 coming out or maybe buying a V2 super combo for $1100 new. I got the 600 for 825 new.. I like my 500 pro alot and wanted a bigger heli so I got the 600. So instead of posting my issue in the 700 thread where I know all the guys would tell me trade the 600 back in full price and get the 700. I thought I would ask you guys in the 600 section.. So can you guys give me some advice.. Flying since March but I"m doing well and I'm ready to flip and roll and invert hover a bigger heli..

I own both. Both are great. The 600 Pro flies a bit better in my opinion. It's probably my favorite heli. You may always wonder if you should have got a 700 instead, but you will not be disappointed with the 600 Pro's performance.

The only problem with the 600 Pro is the tail can blow out if you push it hard. Fortunately, larger tail blades and/or higher headspeeds will solve this issue. It's nearly a perfect balance of stability and performance in my opinion.

Default Well

I also have a 500pro and 600pro....I love the 600Pro, no regrets, best heli I have bought. That being said, I chose the 600 at a price point and repair index. If money didn't matter, I bet I would have a 700 too....if your personality is such that you will always have the 700 in your thoughts.....you probably will end up with it too.

Battery price difference of the same brand and quality, is significant between a 600 and 700.

I've gotten the chance to fly a few 700's but I always end up coming back to the 12s 600mm helis for the ridiculous Pwr/Weight ratios and "big, but not too big" size. I can, with difficulty, still stomach the cost of a 600 crash even under college student restraints. A 700 crash would probably make me launch from the nearest window

Both fly great, 700 has a little more presence and more hang time, but a 600 already is loud as hell if you pull hard maneuvers and on top of that FBL damn near nulls the stability difference between the two sizes with them both already being stable airframes.

If the 600 doesn't feel "big" to you even a 700 might leave you wanting. Gotta go ask nightflyr about his "1000E" lol.

Ive been flying the 700E for a couple years now and just sold it yesterday. I'm going back to a 600 or maybe even a 550, havnt decided yet. Ive had the 700E since it came out and crashed it twice, the fist crash cost me over $700, the second was about $650...basically re-kits. The crash costs for even a 600 is much less as I've had a 600 in the past.

I think the 600 is alot better on crash/rebuild cost over the 700 so I dont regret not getting a 700.
if a crash is going to cost me a 600 or close to the cost of a new 600 everytime then I might want to stay with the 600 to start with

seriously. I love the hobby and spend money on it all the time but it seems like your just tossing money away because no matter how good you are sooner or later it hits the ground

I prefer my Trex 600ESP over my recently acquired 700EV1 (you and I have chatted about that Dentman). Love my nitro raptor with a 70OS engine and 710 mains.

Ouch that's alot of money... Ya since I've only had one small crash on 500 (motor backed away from gear) and it only cost me landing gear and main gear $20 total. If I had a big crash which I know I will I probably would be not wanting a 700.. I keep asking this because being new I haven't seen alot of 700E's in the air. Some nitros that run forever..lol I'm sure I would be able to decide what is right for me and what I want more once I have some more time at the heli field.. As of now Im leaning towards taking this 600 pro out of the box building it with a AR7200BX and using the 4 gens ace 3300's I got for it..

I am trying right now to decide if i want to keep my 700 also, it is big, impressive and fun to fly,but it don't put a smile on my face the way my 550 does I don't know if in the back of my mind I am worried about splattering it on the ground or what but I am more aggressive with the 550. I have a friend who wants it and is ready to buy it and i have been considering stepping down to a 600 or making the 550 my biggest heli and getting a 500 to go with my 450 and 550.

You've only been flying since March and you aren't sure if you will be happy with a 600EL Pro??

You may be the rare exception but if you've only been flying for two months got ahead and buy a spare kit!

My 500 hardly gets touched now that I have the 600. I flew the 500 for the first time in several weeks yesterday, all I have been flying is the 600. I regretted not bringing the 600.... with the BeastX it's a Beast!

I know I'll be happy with a 600.. I just wasn't sure if I would still crave the 700.. I didn't mean to come accross spoiled or taken the 600 for granted..

just sell it when the new 700 comes out, or stick to the machines you have and get good, then upgrade into a 700 when you when you get sick of smacking the 600. im flying mine at 2250 governed with 105 tails but i dont like it after flying my 500 pro and all the power it has, so im throwing the 95 tails back on and cranking the headspeed up. much better for my aggressive smack style flying

I've had my 600 for 6 months and have loved every flight with it. I had no desire for a bigger heli but I recently bought a Synergy e7 on a whim. Although it is also a fantastic helicopter, i still love flying the 600. In fact i enjoy it even more now because i can really throw it around.

I don't really feel any difference in size between the two when they are flying. I love having both!

I had the opportunity to buy either the 700 or the 600. I went with the 600, and don't regret it at all!

Infact, I think I should have gone for a 550, and then a 700 so I could have two, rather than the 600 which is just a little too big (in my opinion) for the local oval but at the field I couldn't be happier with it. The HUGE canopy gives it a really great presence in the air, Its incredibly fast and agile to boot! Very happy with it.

I keep tossing up weather to buy a 700+ sized heli, but I enjoy the 600 so much I don't see the point just yet. Maybe when I out-grow it I'll get something else but even then I think I'll keep flying the 600 more.

I have a FBL 500 and when I first starting flying the 600 I thought there was something wrong with it. It seemed so slow and underpowered compared to the 500. Then I realized I just wasn't used to the size, how quiet it is and the stability.

Going from my 600 to 500 is what it used to feel like when I went from the 500 to MCPx.

I'm shocked to hear the 500 pro is faster then the 600 pro. ?? I'm not looking for high head speed just yet so I'm glad to hear it will fly calm with low head speed. I'm gonna start on sport mode with beastx and see how she handles.. I hovered friends on pro mode and it seemed stable. If this handles like my 500 ill be happy. I just need bigger heli in sky for our field.

The 500 is faster because it's smaller and lighter.
I have a 500 and 600. I feel very comfortable flying the 500 and still a bit nervous with the 600. I've owned the 600 for about 6 months now and it's plenty big for me. I can't see myself outgrowing it at anytime.

Top speed I think the 600 is faster, the way I would describe the comparison between 3d on the 500 vs 600 is Jack Russell Terrior vs German Shepard.
