Default Ice 100 has me totally stumped....

Last weekend (first time with new esc):
ESC under canopy. Idle-up1 LOTS of power. Esc 170 degrees and motor hot. Battery had over 30% left after 4mins (hyperion sentry).

This weekend (after having moved the esc and setup my beastX again):
ESC on side of frame. Idle-up 1...an even tried 2. Hardly any power, feels like it's bogging flying sport. Esc barely above body temperature and motor warm. Battery had 50% left after 4 mins (hyperion sentry).

Heli: KDS 550. 1200KV motor, 14T pinion, 150T main gear. Gens-Ace 5000mah 50c 6s

Throttle curve:
Normal: Straightline from 0-100
IU1: 90-INH-85-INH-90
IU2: 95-INH-90-INH-95

Pitch: Straightline +12 -12 (Normal mode -3 and +12)

Anyway, any help would be awesome. I have absolutely no idea what's going on.

Edit: I have added a spreadsheet. Left side shows the hot and powerful flight and the right shows today's.

The images I have attached are both from today. One of a 4min flight, one of a shorter flight before I gave up and went home....

I shouldn't have rebound my tx/rx right? That wouldn't cause it?

Have you set up your throttle endpoints and auto bailout?

Hi, thanks for the reply.
I did the endpoints....ended at about what would be expected because I want to use the bailout. Would there be any reason that I should try rebinding the RX since resetting the esc the beastX also?
I'm thinking maybe I should try the old esc that seemed to work ok?

Checked and I had the PWM rate on 12.
I have now changed it to 8 (which I think was what it was on when I had power)
We'll see how it goes!

Thanks, I'll fly it with the changed PWM,
Then I'll re-do the connections next....
Then if there's no change I'll swap out the esc.

Changing the PWM made no difference. Motor is warm+ and esc is body-temperature or below.
Here's the latest graph. Maybe something slipping?

Can't imagine your normal curve to be good. Only 50 throttle mid stick, something like flat 80 better. Start at 0 of course on normal mode. Check all connections, se if one hotter than others after running. That will be poor connection heating because of high resistance.

Ok so 0-80-80-80-80 for normal, will try that.
The thing that I don't get is that the amps spike up and sown so violently. The soldering seems fine but I think it may be worth another check?

Ok are you useing governor mode or fixed endpoints... I input your spex in my cc link this is what i got.. In gov mode (hight) set your batt then set your motor/gearing Inf. Below that the 3 box. Box 1 is normal set 1800 throttel 1;522ms(about 52.8%) flat curve. Thats 0-52.8 -- -- --. Box 2 is IDL up 1 thats 1900 throttel 1.553ms(about 56.7%) flat curve 56 56 56 56 .And box 3 is IDL up 2 thats 2000 1.580ms(about 60%) flat curve 60 60 60 60. To me thats a nice setup for f3. But what ever HS you use use a tac on the head. For the gov will shot down if you overspeed the gov seting.

Thanks for the info. The esc is only 100A so is it still ok to disable the current limiting??
My batteries are 50-90C

Did the current limiting to insensitive and the soft cutoff.

You've selected auto rotate enable which is good.

Have you set the correct value for throttle hold? It is different for each transmitter.

After you have done that, test it on the ground. You will need to increase the Head Speed Change Rate to suit your heli or it will not help you if you need to bail-out from an auto. You will probably finish up with a value > 10.

Regards

Hi there!

Throttle hold is working fine. Haven't checked it doing a bailout yet though because the power I'm getting in general is so disappointing.

I'm running the latest firmware, the one before the 4.0 Beta.

OOOoooooo you are looking ass hauling power. Your log looks ok for the setup you have, You are running 2300 hs you are peeking 100 amps you have 105 temp and it looks like you can get 5/6 mins flight time.
