Question Not enough power?

Hey all

Recently I had to do a repair on the battery cable from the 3-in-1 board on one of my MCPX v2's, because there seemed to be a loose connection at the end with the connector on it. So, I cut the connector off the cable and attached the cable with the connector that I cut from a spare board.

It spools up OK but when I go to take off the rotor head seems to slow down, you can hear the change in power/speed, and it won't take off.

That's with the throttle curve set to a flat 60%.

However with the throttle curve set to a flat 75% or higher the problem doesn't exist.

My other MCPX - the one that I've managed to tame - works just fine with a flat throttle curve of 60% and is much nicer to fly at that throttle %!?!

When I attached the "new" cable I twisted each wire together and then soldered them and they're covered in heatshrink also so there's no short.

Can anyone tell me what might be causing this problem?

One of the motors is probably getting tired. The flight time is usually the first thing to suffer and batteries will seem like they don't have the same amount of punch that they used to.
