Arrow Maybe wrong forum but FYI Futaba's New FBL System to rival 3G!

3G has been my introduction to the 3 Axis gyro, but I am definitly wanting Futabas new setup! I will probably be converting my 450 to FBL for my 3G and buying Futaba's new CGY750 when it comes out for my 550. It looks amazing, at least Bobby Watts is amazing!! Check out these links!!

I know this isn't the Futaba forum but I am a Big Align fan and no doubt Futaba is worth looking at as well! Anything to put the blame on dumb thumbs only!!!

I have no doubt the Futaba system will work well, keep in mind though that a pilot like Bobby can make a brick look like it flys well.

Price of the Futaba system is $319 and if you buy from Towerhobbies with the discount of $60 bucks if you are a certain member, its only $259. This system will not rival the 3G, it will completely blow it out of the water. I think this system will probably show up the Vbar as well. From what I have heard so far, this stands to be one of the top, if not the top FBL system, but only time will tell. Sorry if you guys are 3G fans, but the 3G won't even come close to this system.

Probably going to be a good fbl setup, just like their gyros, but works only with s-bus systems.
Whats up with that?

Ahhh nice, my projekt for this winter is probably a 90 with vbar, but if futaba makes it compatible with my jr radio then its a contender for sure .

I moved the thread here, it doesn't belong in the 3G section.

I doubt it, remember vbar has been around for over 10 years and also its not like germans to go half baked with their products.

People kept saying 3G rocks etc as they could not imagine things better than the 3g, same as the CY unit and skookum which still need tweaking.

Vbar is the leader and has the support to back it up.

I think I might put alittle perspective on this, please correct me if I am wrong. The FBL units are typically the vision and work of 1 maybe 2 men, not an entire division of programmers or engineers, and surely not entire country such as Germany. Due to the fact that the units are the vision of essentially 1 man it is VERY possible for a new comer to compete or better a product that has been around for many years. Older product are usually also tied to a specific coding or hardware because of legacy product, where a new designer is free to use the latest and greatest. A new designer can also have a fresh perspective and learn from the mistakes of those that have gone before them.

Very valid point. Although the best way to learn from mistakes is by experience and not by others.

Will be interesting to see how it performs.
If they want an unbiased mere mortal review (without robot fingers) here i am.
