poor quality SXT ROTOR and ONE-WAY BEARING MOUNT
I finally receive my order of SXT MAIN ROTOR HEAD SYSTEM and ONE-WAY BEARING MOUNT STAINLESS STEEL 440C, but unluckily some of the items are of very poor quality.
First of all, the ONE-WAY BEARING MOUNT does not work good with the align oneway bearing, when I turn the shaft, it can not move smoothly. It is so tight that I think it has something wrong. I measureed the origianl align oneway bearing collar and the inner diameter is 22.96mm. But the KDE inner diameter is 22.90mm at someplace and 22.94mm at someplace. That is not very round and I think that is the reason why the shaft can not move smoothly. Second, the SXT head holder arms are so diappointing. The two arms in my bag are of different shape. You can look at the picture below. And the fixing holes are not at the right angle so you can find the screw is not straight. How can I fix the arm? Both arms have the same problem. The hole is not at the right angle so that at the bottom of the hole, it is broken. Finally the main rotor housing has a scratch on the top. It may due to the shipment so I wonlt blame you. I had some very good KDE before but this time I am so disappointed by your quality control. I do expect some explaination. |

Looks liked the arm slipped in the fixture while being machined. I also had a one way hub that was not right. This stuff happens and should have never left the factory. The good news is that KDE will take care of you without question.

KDE has the best service I have ever seen in this hobby.
Find it strangely funny some one in China is complaining about USA made goods. Typically it's quite the opposite with hobby products.

I do not find anything funny to make a complaint about the poor quality stuff
Many things made in USA are of high quality, but that doesn't mean everything is good. I am a customer who pays a lot of $ to buy a product and I think it is natural to make a complaint no matter where I am living. If anyone thinks it is funny for people in China to make a complaint of a defective part made in USA, he or she must have racial discrimination which is not a good thing for the people in a highly civilized country.

Tim,
KDE Direct has the best customer services I have ever experienced in this industry. They stand behind their products and take good care of their customer. QC issue did come up once in a whir but those were far and beyond. Have you sent email to Patrick yet? Attach your pictures to the email. It will be a plus if you also attach the receipt (even the screen capture of the invoice) of your purchase.

Hey Tim,
Thanks for the e-mails and the replacements were shipped out for you, so please let me know if you have any other problems and we'll get you taken care of. Sorry about the issues, we've scanned through our current inventory to make sure these things are caught in our QC, so we're continually making improvements to prevent these types of issues from leaving our facility. Thanks, Patrick Owner, KDE Direct

I complained about the oneway bearing housing and the sxt head arms. I recently received the replacement and thank KDE for your good service.
But when I put the align oneway bearing and the 18X22.7X0.7 spacer into the housing I find the edge of the oneway bearing is higher than the bottom edge of the housing. When I fasten the 6 screws on the back plate, the shaft is so tight that can hardly move. I try to get the spacer out and it can move quite smoothly. But the OWB will slip up and down in the housing. I measure the internal size of KDE and the original align housing and find the KDE is 0.2mm shorter than align one and that is why I can not put the spacer in. What I should do now? |

the oneway bearing holder still has a problem
KDE sent a replacement for free but whenI received it I did not have time to assemble it. Recently I have time to assemble it and I bought a new align one to get the oneway bearing and shaft sleeve. when I finish, I find it it hard to push the sleeve in and it can not spin smoothly. after a few minites running on the ground, I take it apart and find there are many scratches and it still can not spin smoothly。That means autorotation is not functioning. I have put a lot of align grease into it and I have used anothe set of beaing and sleeve to test, the problem remains. I should say this batch of products is definitely not good and think they shall all be recalled.
