Default Help!!!!!!!!!!

Blade Cx2", is not flying high nor long any more after just buying new recommended batteries (tenergy 7.4 900mah). Which it flew high and good outside after 2 years under my bed cause I had replaced everything I could. New motors, metal upgrade ...the works. So I posted about 2 weeks ago and the replies I got was probably batteries. It worked but now it's happening within 2 weeks and I was careful not to run the batteries all the way down. What now ....can I possibly have a bad battery charger, I use the one that came with it 2 plus years ago?? Red light comes on at 60% throttle on 4in 1 board. Hellllllllll-p please.

Could certainly be a bad charger, or a failing board on the heli. Do you have a multimeter or voltmeter handy? After you charge the battery, it should be between 8.3V and 8.4V if it is fully charging. If it's lower than that, the battery is not being fully charged.

Don't rule out the possibility of having a bad motor even though they may be fairly new. Did you replace the originals with the Extreme 180 motors or with the stock ones?

Though I think they are an excellent product overall - I have a couple of friends that both had a defective 180 motor that was new and I am sure it's possible to get a new stock motor that is defective also. In any case - both produced symptoms very similar to what you're describing. Their helis seemed to be lacking power and the battery ( though good ) would not last but a minute or two at best...

They are stock motors. Didn't know about extreme 180's a year in a half or so.

Any way of testing the 3 in 1 board?

Is one of the motors hot after your flight, if so it should probably be replaced. Is there any binding, ie do the blades turn freely ?

Just a couple of thoughts.

Check you batteries with a voltameter, but if your flight times become less and less it could be the charger. Some of the chargers that come in the kits are not the best quality.

I know different flashes on the charger mean different things. Are you sure the batteries are 100% charged? Some of these blade chargers change the flashing pattern part way through the cycle.

This got me once after a break with the mcpx charger.

Have you checked the battery voltage with a multi meter?

I have a bunch of CX2 parts laying around (the CX2 was my first heli, hehe). PM me if you want them (free). I'm guessing your batteries are not being charged correctly or you've still accidentally been over-discharging your batteries (Google "lipo 80% rule"). Also, the CX2 uses brushed motors and they wear out pretty quickly, so it may simply be your motors.
