I use deoxit myself and folow up with the gold. Makes my twitchy servos really smoothe.

Yes, it's possible. I saw this with the early MH metal grips. Sloppy bearing fit...

Hmm, thanks. I did not have this problem with my previous Rakon MCPX. So, I might just get rid of the Xtreme head. I will probably switch back to the stock set and see if the shakes goes away.

I'm probably going to rebuild my V2 anyway once I get my TDR set. Thanks for the input!

Ok I just bought the deoxit and I read the instructions but it seems to be over kill to spray the servo! Should I spray a q-tip then apply and rub a bit?

How do you all use this stuff?

James

Papar match stick works best for me, I just give the torn part of the match stick a squirt.

Be very careful cleaning the fingers, they bend super easy, just brush them gently in one direction from the base to the tip.

Cleaned all 3 servos. Should there still be chatter? My second mcpx has chatter from the box so I think yes. I have the 120 sr tail boom and motor! I also have a bit of tail wag. I cut the boom 1/2 inch and it's better. Tomorrow another 1/2 inch. I'm running brushless, and it hovers good it's just the darn wag!

Yeah they will chatter when in the neutral position, the tail wag could be a bunch of different things.

Just a few things I can think of off the top of my head..

Main gear not aligned with the flat spot on the main shaft
Blades too tight or too loose
Bent feathering shaft
Loose screws in the main shaft
Cracked main shaft
Dirty or dry main shaft bearings

Changed the feather shaft and it still like wobbles. I have noticed that the pinion that was installed on the motor has damaged teeth. That's next, I have another to swap it with!

Maybe my v2 board just doesn't like brushless!

I have read that success is decided board by board some like it while others don't.

I know that these blades are little, but have you checked them for balance?

You will inevitably need a feathering shaft in the future so having a spare is a good thing.

For future reference you can check to see if the shaft is bent by removing a blade and spinning the shaft, if it is bent the remaining blade will move up and down while you turn the shaft, or of course you could take the shaft out and roll it on a flat surface.
