You don't need the shims for the SAB blades that come with the kit don't cram them in there it will leave your blades way too tight, only use them for some after market blades that are a bit thinner at the root

Thank you, my building experience up until now has been the Blade training lineup, the largest a 450x that... well it isn't really a Blade anymore...except the frame and the AR7200, I knew these blades need to be tighter but that seemed a tad extreme.
Finished centering the servo arms, leveling the swash, now need to get the blades mounted up and break out the pitch gauge. Love the symmetry of the system though, set the servo links to exactly 49mm per the manual's suggestion, 16 clicks of up trim on all three cyclics and the swash is perfectly level, all servos set exactly the same, linkages perfectly parallel to the mainshaft, this thing is gonna fly sweet. |
