Yeah, I am just not wanting to buy taps that I'm only going to use once. You would also probably need an end tap as well.

What's an end tap? Google's not helping

Anyone happen to know the dimensions of the swash bearing? Google's not helping there either....

There is a difference between a tap that goes all the way through a hole and one that stops threads at the bottom of a hole that does not go all the way through. Although I guess depending on the swash design you may be able to drill the hole all the way through. It just kind of depends on a few things.

I know Lynx have some 3 blade stuff out for the 180CFX, can any of that be adapted to fit?

I was thinking about using the 3-Blade swashplate, but it would require a main shaft sleeve to fit the smaller shaft of the 250 into the 180 swashplate...or something to that regard. I also would need to use different ball links, since they are different size balls and the threads for the holes are not the same size as the 250. I wish Blade sold their overpriced ball links by themselves instead of including them with servo arms

As usual awesome flyin Keith , but 2 minutes of flight time? Are those blades robbing you of flight time?

Sweet flight! Great to see the 250 perform so well. Want to see more.

I was rushed on time that day and needed to get home to go to work. I got more flights earlier that day but didn't record them

I get around 3:00 down to 3.8vpc, which is what I got with the Align blades. But everything comes down way less warm with the Zeal, presumably because they are way more efficient and don't flutter as much. For the same reason, it bogs less with the Zeal, especially towards the end of the pack.

Yes I'm getting conflicting opinions with Zeal blades from different pilots. So it made me curious to see if they are any good. I got several sets to try on my stretch 250 project. I just need to find the time.

Was having a little too much fun today
T-REX 250 DFC - Crash! (0 min 8 sec)

Damage:
Main Blades Chipped (nbd, they're only Align )
Boom Bent

Haven't checked the spindle yet but I imagine it's at least a little bent. I also need to check the tail belt as it did slip some when the tail hit the ground.

Build, fly, crash, repeat

That's how it goes.

I got to get some new servos for mine. When it was flying good it was too much fun even with a little wag.

After thinking about it I have to get mine up again soon the $20 crash cost makes it perfect to beat on lol.

By the way I'm going with the h3050's, h3060 route. Seeing how you throw it around that's what I'm after.

What I do is lurk in ebay, craigslist, even the classifieds for bargains. Once I see a bargain I hit. Also you can use the lynx rotor head180( a bit of modding) on the 250 it can be cheaper than the align rotor heads, again shop around for bargains.

Thanks for the tip. Wish I would have known that before I got the align head.

I have been using the se main shafts shortened and redrilled so I can use the set screw collar and swap out quick with out removing the swash. I hope they get more in stock at trex store.

They won't just fit. The main shafts are different diameters. It's not a direct fit.

requires a bit of modding I forgot to add that. I squashed it to fit the trex 250 main shaft. Still a bit of modding if you like tinkering. Also to fit the blades you need to open the grips a bit etc.

What about the swashplate? Did you put new ball links on the servos, etc? How'd you make the ball fit the shaft without excessive slop?
