Default 550 speed

Who would want one of those? To compete with the R5?

I have no information.. Only a question. I would like a little mini-speed to compete in the smaller categories. Also, one that would be more affordable the masses and put more minicopters in more homes. The R5 is basically a 600... It runs 700 sized components and blades just small enough to not call it a 600. It's priced around $1k, which is relatively affordable compared to a Diabolo S..
Just something to compete with the R5 really

No time for such projects, but if you are looking for a speed fuselage for the 550 then look here. A german customer has realized that and probably he will sell some.

I considered speed running in building my 550 with or without a full body. I own the same motor esc they use in the R5 and considered trying it out just for kicks when done.

He told me on phone that a mechanic will be built in for testing, so connectors and holes are already placed because it is difficult without any jig. On the Diabolo S fuselage it is a work of about 8 hours of preparation (attaching of stickers not included).

Craig,

I guess from your pics that he is painting 550 canopies?
