Default DX8 & Total-G

Hey everyone...is it possible to bind the Total-G to a DX8? I have tried many times Sunday with no luck! Is there some sort of upgrade I need for the Total-G?

If so, I could use a stand alone receiver and set it up that way...

Have you got the dsx8 in the dsm2 not dsmx mode as the totalg has to be sent back for dsmx mode.

Oh...I didn't know that! I'll have to check on that.

I thought I read somewhere, on here, that the TG needed to be sent in for software upgrading for DSMX, wasn't sure.

Where is this setting change in the menu? Will I need to re-bind the other models if I change for one?

I think I found it...by changing the frame rates! Right? So 22ms = DSM2...

I have 2 totalg's and the last one has the failsafe and is dsmx on the rx selection. I don't have a dsx8 so I can't help! Might be in the model setup menu?

Default Found it!

Yep...it was in the system settings menu. Frame rates. In there you can change the radio type from DSMX to DSM2, and 22msec to 11msec servo speed. Bascially, 22msec=analog servos, and 11msec=digital servos.

Once I switched the radio to DSM2, I was able to bind the Total-G on my Rave...the Trex 700 is next! However, I may take CY offer and send in my Total-G's for updates to DSMX.

It's a free update, just costs you the postage so I would take advantage of it. Plus, if you don't have the latest firmware you get that updated also, CYE is great.

Yea...I talked to Curtis about this. The down side is both 90 heli's would be down until the Total-G's returns. And at the end of this month, our club is hosting a heli fun fly. Maybe right after the fun fly...before IRCHA.
