Couldn't we mount a KDE 450XF motor in there. 33mm diameter.

Wouldn't it be nice to be able to get a serious high power motor for under 70.00 that last a while?

The KDE is awesome, but comes at a pretty high price... We Know it's good, but it would be good to know if the 460MX is good too?

Oh, so you mean 450XF would fit?

Although I'm interested to know if there's a difference between 450MX and 460MX. It seem to me both motor was based on the same blueprint. So nothing new, except for the anodized red on the 460MX. Just like the HK2221. Although available in different kv's, it's the same motor.

I'll double check after work but I believe my 450mx has flat magnets and the 460mx has curved. Maybe I will pull the bell off for comparison photos. Of course there are different grades of magnets and stator materials so keep that in mind.

Great I would love to see that.

And of course, I'm well aware that there are different grades of magnets and stator materials. Although I doubt that the changes they made includes the stator material, unless they went to .1mm lamination. More likely the curved magnet. If that's what's in it. The kv difference would probably be just different turn count.

One of my flying buddy here want to get one and he ask me if there's a 3S version so he don't have to buy 6S batteries. I told him he could just probably use his motor from his older 450 or do a rewind.

Definitely different magnets, wider and curved. My arbor press is buried in the garage at the moment so just a photo looking through the opening.

Default Turnigy Nano Tech 1300mAh 6S 35C

Hey all juat finished my build and set-up last night, I can confirm the Turnigy Nano-Tech 1300mAh 6S 35C packs fit great.
They do not fit inside the rails so all i did was first put a strip of 3m double sided tape on the battery tray then the Velcro to space them down away from the rails by another mm or 2, they slide in nice and easy now

The pics are driving me crazy. My edge 50 and connectors came in to and the gens ace packs will be here Tuesday but still waiting for kits to get stocked. At least I can have the connectors soldered on the packs and put several cycles on them before I fly them

How are you guys running the motor wires inside the frame? The best I can do is having it coming out the side. Any pictures showing how you guys are running it will be appreciated.

Not yet... normally takes months for kits without bits to show up...

That is the main reason I bought a Gaui X3

I'll more than likely get an L when they show up on Ebay no electronics, as long as they are close to what you can "buy in now" a DFC for... But for now I wanted to try something new, and different.

PS Steemo can you snap a close up of the elevator servo from both sides... I want to see if the MKS/clones will fit in there?

Unfortunately they will not fit
Lot of chatter going on in the Align forum about this (you will need to read between the lines as google translate is not perfect). The problem is not the elevator servo, it's the Ail and Pit servo, the rear of the casing is nearly touching the main shaft and the MKS DS95 and their clones are "deeper" than the align servos and would foul on the shaft.

1300mAh, and AFAIK there is only 1 or 2 decent choices in that size.
Unless anyone else can confirm any 1400+ that fit?

Can anyone confirm what packs fit with the locking tray without the need for modifications?

I'd like to get some data on flight time. Duration, headspeed, style and % remaining on the battery would be great. I'm close to pulling the trigger but don't want a 3 minute wonder. Thanks in advance!

That is a real shame if the MKS/clones will not fit. Time will tell what other options there are, but being limited on servo choices would be a bummer.

Align's new servos may be incredible, but their micro servo track record would suggest that won't be the case, so alternatives would be nice.
